Kitchen Nook Gallery

One of the things I miss the most about our old house is how I had the kids artwork hanging in the kitchen.  It would make me smile every time I entered the room.  It has taken me quite a while to feel settled enough here to actually start putting nails into the wall and personalizing this space.  (Am I the only one who freezes up and deliberates for months about where to hang pictures???)  But I need this place to start feeling like HOME.
So here's my first project...
The Kitchen Nook Gallery
On this empty wall:
In this kind of sad bland space:
I eagerly planned,
and then carefully placed,
some of our family's lovely creations.
(And one giant poster that we adore!)
Now, I smile when I come into the kitchen.
And this house feels one step closer to being home.
Look out wall color, valance and chair cushions...you've survived this round, but your days may be numbered.
Don't smirk light fixture, I'm not sure about you either...
***If anyone has any creative ideas about how to make a hideous (but necessary) water cooler look presentable, please do share!***
